Jennie was the daughter of Samuel Walker Taliaferro and Alice Jane Millen. She attended school in Guthrie and was one of the first women to graduate from Logan College in Russellville, Kentucky. She married Stephen Kay Allensworth on 18 Sep 1895. They had 7 children: Walker Phillip, Mary Moore, Stephen Kay III, Thomas Mimms, Typp Gill, Alice Elizabeth and Billy Walker. Following her husbands unexpected death in 1928, she worked in various stores as a clerk. She played piano in her church and enjoyed canasta. She died in Guthrie at the age of 106.
