Wife of Frank Kilgore;
mother of Frank Jr. and Shawn Kilgore;
all killed in a car-train crash in Naaman's Creek and Meetinghouse Road, Pennsylvania.

Lyn was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Leo J. and Anna M. (Gueniat) Rivard, and lived in Watertown, CT, for most of her life, marrying Don Miller after high school. Don and Lyn ended up divorcing. She later moved to Pennsylvania, marrying Frank Kilgore, of Brookhaven. They had 2 boys, Frank Jr. and Shawn, the joys of their lives. She was the sister of Diane, Gary, David, and Michael.

Lyn graduated from St John's School in 1970, and Watertown High in 1974. She worked at Waterbury Hospital for 10 years as a trained nurse's aide. She also volunteered at a battered women's center and a Bible school and spoke at Al-Anon meetings.

She was appreciated for her friendship and wisdom; everyone who knew her knew her as a friend.

Frank was a maintenance mechanic at Sun Oil Co and well-thought-of by those he worked with. He was a devoted dad and husband.

A few weeks before the accident which took their lives, I gave Lyn a cassette tape, called God With Us. On it is a song, God Will Make A Way. Every time Lyn listened to this song she said she would cry. She asked her church to learn the song. This song was composed by a person whose family member had been killed in a car accident; why did Lyn cry each time she heard the song? The song, God Will Make A Way (when there seems to be no way), was played at the funeral, like a theme song.

We give thanks to God that all four ~ Frank, Lyn, Frank Jr, and Shawn are now living in glory with the Lord!
