The joys of her life were her children, grandchildren, flower gardening, and sitting in the swing on her back porch. Joyce also loved to bake and was known for her chocolate cake and fluffy biscuits. Her Christian faith sustained and comforted her over the years, and she enjoyed her church and the fellowship of dear friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Richard Early Kelley, Sr.; parents, William Carrie and Effie Tucker Farmer; siblings, Laverne Davis, Margaret, Myrtle, Ellery, and Heyward Farmer. She is survived by daughters Sandra Atkinson and husband, Bud, Jewel Kirkus and husband, Ronald, all of Conyers; sons, Ricky Kelley of Lithonia, Spencer Kelley and wife, Susan, of Stockbridge, Kevin Kelley and wife, Allison, of Stockbridge; grandchildren and their spouses, Anita and Keith Gaddis, Michelle and Barry Smith, Amy and Derek Kirbow, Shannon and Kurt Ebaugh, Travis and Rachel Kelley, Cason and Leeann Kelley, Travis and Jill Clay, Kameron and Hillary Kelley and Kourtney Kelley; great-grandchildren, April Wiese, Shelby and Luke Gaddis, Gibson Ebaugh, Josh, Seth, and Eli Kirbow, and Hunter Clay; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver Kathy Brewer.
A funeral service will be held 11 oclock, Wednesday, August 28, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Dr. Doug Ferguson and Rev. Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
