Paul R. Adamczyk, 70, Altoona, died Saturday afternoon at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late John F. and Victoria A. (Good) Adamczyk. He married Paulette F. McCreery on Sept. 14, 1960.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Kelly J. Adamczyk, and partner, Kim Steele, of Altoona; a son, Paul R. Jr. and fiancee, Jennifer, of Altoona; and two brothers: Frank of Altoona and Robert and wife, Margie, of Mount Jackson, Va.

Paul was a graduate of Altoona High School, and he had been a mechanic for Rabits Exxon Gas & Auto Service [Altoona Exxon.] He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and he enjoyed caring for animals, especially cats.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Eighth Avenue and 11th Street, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
