Nora Carlson, youngest daughter of Charles and Anna Carlson, was born August 18, 1885, near Haddam, Kan., and departed this life September 12, 1958, at the age of 73 years and 25 days.

Mrs. Lyons grew to womanhood near Haddam and spent her entire life in the Haddam community. She was united in marriage to William Lyons on March 3, 1911. To this union six children were born, two sons and four daughters. She was preceded in death by an infant son. She took pride in her home and family and enjoyed her nine grandchildren very much.

Surviving are her husband, William Lyons; one son, Millard Lyons, Haddam; four daughters, Aenid Strnad, Ephrata, Wash., Vera King, Kittaning, Penn., Viola Holloway, Quincy, Wash., and Ferne Bahl Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild, Sherry Ann King; one daughter-in-law, four sons-in-law; two sisters, Mary McCrone, Hanover, Kan., and Lena Anderson, Clifton, Kan.; two brothers, August Carlson, Morrowville, Kan., and Gilbert Carlson, Washington, Kan., and many other relatives and friends.

Services were held at the Zion Luthern Church, Brantford, Kan., with the Rev. Donald D. O'Hara officiating. Interment was at the Hawks cemetery east of Cuba, Kansas
