He was born Aug. 27, 1932, in Wyatt, the son of William and Motel Brown Bailey. He and Leta Mae Scott were married in 1983.
He was an operator at the Wyatt Junction Service Station.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Bailey; four stepsons, Bobby, Thomas, Terry and Dennis Everett; two stepdaughters, Teresa Powers and LaDonna Coleman; a sister, Margie Bailey; four grandchildren, a great-grandson and 10 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a step-grandson.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
