Services for James Hardy Browder Jr., 57, formerly of Bangs will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 1977 at Bangs First Baptist Church with burial to be in Bangs Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Ray Ellis and Rev. David Bugg are to officiate. Davis-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Browder died in Palma Mallorca, Spain Tuesday, June 7, 1977 following a brief illness.

He was born November 9, 1920 in Brown County and was a construction superintendent for Morrison-Knudson Company. He served in World War II in the Navy and was a member of the Bangs First Baptist Church and Bangs Masonic Lodge No. 926.

He lived in Algeria 6 ½ years and had been in Spain on business for two days. He married Opal Virginia Wallace in Zephyr October 18, 1975.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Ada Browder of Bangs; his sister, Mrs. Juanita O'Conner of Ballinger; two brothers, Elliott Browder of Los Almos, California and Robert Paul Browder of Strawn; two step-daughters, Mrs. Linda Kay King of Mullin and Mrs. Nila Holt of El Paso; a step-son, Robert Wallace of Mullin; six step-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
