Paula was born Nov. 29, 1948, in Soda Springs, Idaho, the youngest of three daughters born to Ivan and Elma (Weighall) Bacon. In 1951, the family moved to Hansen, Idaho. Through her school years in Hansen, she was very active in many things. Pep Club, Chorus and Tumbling Team were just a few of her favorites. She was high spirited and enjoyed life to the fullest.
On Aug. 13, 1966, Paula married her best friend and lifelong companion, Jesse R. Grijalva. The next 47 years of their life was spent making amazing memories until her beloved husband parted this earth on July 26, 2013, to await her arrival in Heaven. The couple resided in Hansen most of their married years and to this union was born Jay, Jason and Stephanie Kay.
Her main focus in life was her family. She took great pride in being the best wife, mother and grandmother she could possibly be. She loved to hunt, fish, camp and anything in the outdoors with her family. She was a very fun, kind, caring and loving woman to anyone who came into contact with her. With her compassionate heart, she spent her working years as a CNA, nurturing those in need
Paula is survived by one son, Jason (Larissa) Grijalva, of Buhl; a stepson, Duane Grijalva, of Packwood, IA; a stepdaughter, Cheline (Shawn) Fenerty, of Nashville, TN; two sisters: Karla (Robert) Jones, of Meridian, ID, and Julie Martin of Aurora, CO; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, daughter, great-grandson and a niece.
A celebration of Paula's life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at White Mortuary, 136 Fourth Ave. E. in Twin Falls, with Chaplain Dale Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at White Mortuary.
