Sr. Agnes Romana Graziani, OSF, 96, a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, died Dec. 29 at Assisi House in Aston.
She was born in Philadelphia and entered the congregation in 1931, training at Georgetown University Hospital as a certified X-ray technician and was later certified as an EKG technician as well.
She began her many years in healthcare ministry at St. Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. She also ministered healthcare in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Oregon.
Sr. Agnes Romana ministered for 26 years in the former St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster (1939-1948, 1976-1993). She also ministered at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, (1946-1965).
Her 21 years of ministry in Philadelphia, included the former St. Mary Hospital (1957-1961, 1972-1976) and St. Agnes Medical Center (1961-1964). She moved to Assisi House in 1993, and remained there until her death.
She served for nine years at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, (1948-1957). She also served for seven years at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Ore., (1965-1972).
She is survived by a sister, Olga Wunsche, and her Franciscan family.
All services were held at Assisi House Jan. 2. Burial was in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
