E. A. Hancock was 85 and he died on April 29 at Tuscaloosa, and funeral services were held at Persimmon Grove Church of Christ on May 1 with J. C. Graves officiating .
Survivors Included his wife, Mrs. Sara Hancock. He had four sons, Mayburn, Avery, Odis and Mancil Hancock; Also, five daughters survive him; Mrs. Lovie Stricklin, Mrs. Dovie Dye, Mrs. Gertrude Chandler, Mrs. Ila Willingham, Mrs. Audrey McSwain; three sisters, four brothers, twenty-six grand children, 31 great grand children, and one great, great grand child.
