James Lawrence Grim, 54, of Wind Ridge, died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 1952, in the Ohio Valley General Hospital in Wheeling, W. Va., following a lingering illness.

A lifelong resident of Greene County, he was born January 31, 1898, at Delphene and spent most of his life in Richhill Township. He was employed in the oil and gas fields as a tool dresser and was widely known.

He was a son of George Grim, deceased, and Martha Courtwright Grim, who survives. He was married November 20, 1937 to Blanche Tharp, who survives with one daughter, Betty Anne, at home. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Alice Rutan of Wind Ridge, and three brothers, Edward and Francis Grim of Wind Ridge, and Linley Grim of Beech Bottom, W. Va.

GRIM - Funeral services for James Lawrence Grim of Wind Ridge, who died Friday (NOTE: OCTOBER 30 WAS A THURSDAY), Oct. 30, 1952, will be held at the family residence Saturday afternoon, Nov. 1, at 2 o'clock with the Rev. John M. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Wind Ridge Cemetery. Friends will be received at the family residence after 11 a. m. today (Friday). Scott Funeral Service of Rogersville in charge of arrangements.
