Joseph P. Adamcik, age 81, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Altercare of Nobles Pond following a brief illness. He was born December 1, 1925, in Canton, to the late Joseph M. and Anna P. (Majovsky) Adamcik. He graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1943, and from Kent State University in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and in 1990 retired as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager from the Hoover Company after 27 years of service. He was an avid wood worker who hand-crafted many unique clocks and other wood items. During his retirement, he also enjoyed reading, traveling and working with computers. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Hoover Retirees Luncheon Group. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline A. Mileff. He is survived by his wife, Jean M. (Schmader) with whom he would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this October 18th
