Born in Taylors, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Aileen (Brown) Loftis.
A graduate of Anderson College, Furman University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, she was employed with North Greenville College. She was also a member of Greenville Christian Fellowship.
Surviving in addition to her husband, the Reverend Ken Joner, founder and pastor emeritus of Greenville Christian Fellowship, are a stepson, Ken Joner Jr., and his wife, Barbara, of Easley; two stepdaughters, Kaye McGee and her husband, Harry, of Savannah, Ga., and Joy Vaughn and her husband, Buddy, of Taylors; seven stepgrandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Burgess of Asheville, N.C.; and a nephew, Victor Burgess of Asheville, N.C.
Funeral services were at Greenville Christian Fellowship.
Visitation was held before the services at the church. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Greer.
