COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Bulah Elby Medley, 79, of Cookeville will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of the
services on Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Medley died on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at her residence.
She was born April 11, 1924, in Jackson County to the late William and Sally Allen Bennett. Mrs. Medley was a homemaker and a member of the Bussell Church of Christ.
Her family includes five sons and four daughtersinlaw:
John and Willie Bennis, Melvin and Marsha Medley, all of Bloomington Springs, Michael and Kathy Medley, Morgan 'Bam' Medley and Marlin and Tammy Medley, all of Cookeville; two daughters and one soninlaw: Dollie Gibson of Baxter and Pat and Joe Goodwin of Cookeville; 11 grandchildren: Johnathan and Jennifer Bennis, James Goodwin, Tracey Moorehead, Matthew, Ryan, Cassandra, Christopher and Rachel Medley, Shawn Gibson and O.D. Allison, III.; and seven great grandchildren: Amanda and Dustin Goodwin, Kyla and Katelyn Moorehead, Seth Medley and Devon and Daniel Allison.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Medley was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Medley; a son, Marvin Medley; a brother, Earl Bennett; a sister, Effie Belle Hickey; and a grandson, Darrel Medley.
