Gerald A. "Gracie" Graycarek, 70, 989 Laduron Dr., Mishicot, died Thursday morning, Aug. 29, 2013, at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. Jerry was born Oct. 21, 1942, in Two Rivers, to Melvin D. and Lucy Brouchoud Graycarek. He was a 1960 graduate of Mishicot High School. Jerry married the former Jan Bergman on Nov. 3, 1962, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 3, 2012. He was employed as a truck driver for Roadway Express for many years. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and on various committees. He was also a member of the Local Teamster's Union #200 out of Milwaukee, and a member of the Mishicot-Tisch Mills Knights of Columbus Council #4807. He played the saxophone and clarinet for the 7 Kings Band, and the Larry Hlinak & Friends Band for many years. He enjoyed doing small engine repairs, and polka music. He loved helping others, and where ever he went would meet someone he knew and enjoyed a visit.Survivors include his wife, Jan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Doug Novak, Green Bay; Traci and Curt Weis, Kimberly; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Karen Graycarek, Elizabethtown, Ky.; his grandchildren, Danielle and Briana Novak, Patrick, Kara, and Kate Graycarek, Keagan, Peyton and Brynlie Weis; also survived by his mother, Lucy Graycarek; one brother, Tom (Kathy) Graycarek, Larrabee; two sisters, Carol (Jim) Cookle, Manitowoc; Diane (Gary) Garrigan, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law, Judie (Tom) Lehman, Manitowoc; nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Graycarek.entombment in the Knollwood Mausoleum. -
