Alvena M. Kovach, 79, of Lebanon, died of natural causes on Monday, March 8, 1999. She was the wife of the late John S. Kovach. Born April 13, 1919, in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret Gettle. She was a retired garment worker, having worked for the Bannon Mills and Milsan Mills. She was an avid gardener and animal and bird lover. Surviving are sons George, husband of Jean Kovach, Parkesburg; John husband of Dottie Kovach, Columbus, Ohio; & Robert, husband of Linda Kovach, Lebanon; a sister, Marguerite Weise, Lebanon; grandsons David, George, Rodney, Ryan, John and Stephen Kovach; a great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
