David Owen Dodds was the second child of Albert Ray and Almeda Francis (Pierce) Dodds. David served as an army medic during WWII. Stationed at Corregidor in the Philippines, he became a Prisoner of War for nearly three years before being liberated from Bilibid Prison in February 1945. Shortly after his return to the U.S., David met his future wife at a bible college in Winona Lake, Indiana. They initially made their home in Seattle, WA, then spent some time near Los Angeles in the 1950s before bringing their family back to Seattle for good.
