Mr. Clifton G. Aaron, 86, Taylor Co., KY (d. Aug. 28, 2013)

He was a favorite son of Adair, Russell and Taylor Counties. He was born in Adair County, much of his early life was in Russell County, and he became a major figure in Taylor County life and was a leading businessman there. He had owned two auto parts stores, one of which was the NAPA store in Campbellsville, KY, which he sold to Steve McKinney. At the tiime of his death he continued to operate "Big Chief's" a gunstore and lunch counter. After the death of Better Burgers was closed in Columbia, KY, he bought the recipe and continued them on the menu at Big Chief's. A friend, Larry Smith, called him "Unique." And added, "He was one of a kind. We'll never see another like Mr. Clifton Aaron."

Mr. Clifton G. "Big Chief" Aaron, age 86, passed away early Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Campbellsville at his home.

There will be a memorial service at 10amCT/11amET, on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 4139 Old Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation after 8amCT/9amET, Saturday at the church.

Clifton G. Aaron, Taylor County, KY (1928-2013)

He was born in Adair County, KY, Saturday, February 25, 1928. He was the son of the late Lonza and Nona Pearl (Collins) Aaron. He died Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at the age of 86 years, 6 months, and 3 days.

Survivors include his wife: Peggy D. Mann Aaron of Campbellsville. •A son: Kyle Aaron of Campbellsville, KY

•A brother-in-law: Dean Mann and his wife Treva of Russell Springs, KY

•A sister-in-law: Carol Wilson and husband Hearl of Brooks, KY

•A very special family friend: Denise Moore of Campbellsville, KY
L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements.

Family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to ASPCA or Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, both can be made at the funeral home or at the church on Saturday.
