Post, Edward-Age, 22 years. Enlisted at Poughkeepsie, to serve one year, and mustered in as private, Co. I, 150th New York Volunteer Infantry January 20, 1865; mustered out with detachment, May 8, 1865, at Hart's Island, New York Harber.

Edward S. Post, private in Co. I, 150th New York Volunteers during the Civil War, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louie M. Arrow. 173 DeRussey street, at 6:45 o'clock Thursday morning. February 9, 1933. He was born 83 years ago in Poughkeepsie, and soon after its outbreak enlisted for service through the Civil War. He participated in battles at Gettysburg, Appomattox and elsewhere with the army of the Potomac. Upon discharge he went to Norwich, and married Ellen Angela Chappell of Oxford at that village May 25, 1872. She died 12 years ago. Mr. Post was a member of the old E.P. Smith Post, G.A.R., of Norwich, until its disbandment three years ago. He came to Binghamton in 1921, following the death of Mrs. Post., to reside with his daughter., Mrs. Arrow. Mr. Post was a member of the Church of the Good Shepard.
The funeral will be held at the T.O. Waterous Parlors, 2006 Vestal ave, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. J. De Lancey Scolvile will officiate and Waterous Post, G.A.R., will have charge of the services. The body will be taken to Norwich for burial. The Veterans of Foreign Wars will furnish a guard of honor and a firing squad.
