Charles Robert Myers of Dallas, Texas passed away August 22, 2013 after a short battle with lung cancer. Charles was born on August 31, 1936 to Pansy and Charles C. Myers of Valley View, Texas. He married his high school sweetheart Virginia Lowe on March 10, 1956. Charles and Virginia moved to University Park, Texas in 1958 where he joined the University Park Police Department. He served his community as an officer from 1958 through 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and his sister, Peggy Maddox. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Quentin Dudley of Garland, TX and Carol and Ray Plaza of Dallas, TX and his sister, Mava Clements of Denton, TX. Grandy, as his grandchildren called him, was a present and strong influence on their lives and character. They were his pride and joy, Lane Dudley of Nashville, TN, Tricia Dudley of Garland, TX, Ann Dudley of Austin, TX and Ariel Olivarez of Dallas, TX and great-granddaughter Riley of Garland, TX. A private family celebration of life was held at the Valley View Cemetery on Saturday August 31st.
