James Michael Lawson, 29, Rosedale, died Friday at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Mr Lawson was a patient there since Aug 14.
Born Dec 12, 1951 in Brazil, he was the son of William "Bill" H. 7 the late Hazel Victor (Miller) Lawson. Mrs Lawson preceded her son in death on Aug 23, 1979.
The deceased was a 1970 graduate of Brazil High School.
He was employed at the Indiana Gas and Chemical Co in Terre Haute and was formerly employed at the Ketex & Ceramic Corp. in Brazil and as a former security officer at the Federal Prison near Terre Haute.
He was married to Lorretta Anne Crague on Sept 3, 1976 in Brazil.
Other survivors incluce his father, William H. Lawson, Rosedale; a brother, William, Jr, Terre Haute, and two sisters, Mrs Marie Elaine Brown, Rosedale & Mrs Carolyn Harvey, Greencastle.
Services will be held at 2 pm Wed at the Lawson-Slick Funeral Home in Brazil. Rev Joseph Bierce will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be at the Calcutta Cemetery.
Family requested that friends make contributions to the Leukemia fund.
