Mary McGinnis married William Frederick Barr in 1877 at Ross County Ohio. They went to homestead in Nebraska. Mary McGinnis Barr and two of their children (Nora & Chas.) died In 1895 Of "Lung Fever" Or Dust Pneumonia.

Five years later their daughter Mary also died of dust pneumonia. That's when Will BARR loaded up the remaining children and moved to Kansas and then into Oklahoma.
