Enlisted Sept 1861, age 28.
Wounded Dec 31, 1862 at the battle of Murfreesboro (Stone's River) - "slightly wounded in mouth" and sent to hospital in Atlanta. Back on active duty by February 1863, and cards show him present at least through August 1863. Died October 22, 1863 at Medical College Hospital in Atlanta. No cause given.

George Washington Bolger was from Columbia County, Ark. He earned designation on the Confederate Roll of Honor at the Battle of Chickamauga. His two brothers James M., and Hiram P. Bolger were also both in the 6th Ark. Inf. James was crippled at the battle of Shiloh. Hiram survived, and returned home after the war as well.
