Arabella Louisa Knight, 83, of La Grange, Ky., died Sunday (April 22, 2007) in the Baptist Hospital North East, La Grange, Ky.

She was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Cecil Jackson Kelley and Bonnie Vivian Hedges Kelley.

Mrs. Knight was an auditor for Thrifty Corp. She was a Methodist by faith. One of her favorite hobbies was working crossword puzzles. She also loved to bake and sew, and was an avid bird watcher.

Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Belle Bucher (John) of Sistersville, Holly Spalenka (Ed) of La Grange, Ky., and Kathryn Vincent (Kermit) of North Carolina; two sons, Robert Franklin Knight II (Betti-Ruth) of Hundred, and John David Knight (Melodie) of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Overlees of Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Cecil "Bill" Kelley.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ben Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fairmont.
