Agnes Jean "Aggie" Roberts, 84, of Waynesburg, died at 7:14 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013, in her home, holding her daughter's hand, after being ill for the past six years.

She was born Monday, March 4, 1929, in Jefferson, a daughter of the late Israel Lee Shriver and Grace Robinson Shriver.

Mrs. Roberts was affiliated with Nazarene Church.

She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 Auxiliary of Waynesburg.

Mrs. Roberts had worked for more than 20 years as a cook at the Pennsylvania Livestock Auction in Waynesburg.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Her husband, Ulysses G. Roberts Sr., whom she married September 7, 1950, died January 10, 1985.

Surviving are six daughters, Martha Lea Roberts of Waynesburg, Marsha Collette Eddy of Eastview, Anna Darlene Eibling of Payne, Ohio, Peggy Marie Roberts of Waynesburg, Dixie Roberts of Waynesburg and Karen Jean Felgenhauer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Ulysses Grant Roberts Jr. of Fountain, Colo., James Allen Roberts Sr. of Waynesburg and Charles Franklin Roberts Sr. of Cokeburg; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Tillie Marie Davis of Jefferson, Grace of Colliers, W.Va., and Stella of Aliquippa; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two daughters, Mable Virginia Eddy and Kathrine Louise Roberts; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters; and a brother.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the time of service, Friday, September 6, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, with Pastor Cathie Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery.
