ELVIN ROY KENDLE died at Washington County Hospital at 11:30 last night of coronary occlusion, after two weeks of illness, aged 59 years. He was the son of the late John and Ada (Crilley) Kendle of the Williamsport district.
He is survived by his wife, Rhoda May (Sprecher) Kendle; daughters, Mrs. Leon Stull and Mrs. Paul Anderson, of Hagerstown; and Gwendolyn, at home; son, John Kendle, Williamsport; granddaughter, Cheryl Maria Kendle; sisters, Mrs. Vernie Beckley, Halfway; and Mrs. Nannie Slayman, Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm at his home, Elmwood Farm, near Williamsport; the Revs. Harry Kottler and William Huddle officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Leaf Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm.
