Jeff A. Genske, age 47, of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday morning, December 10, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on December 27, 1964 in Chilton, son of Patricia R. (Winkel) Genske and the late Gerald C. Genske. Jeff was a graduate of Hilbert High School, Class of 1983. On September 29, 1990 he married the former Rebecca Herzog at Bethany Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Jeff was employed as a security guard at Kewaunee Nuclear Plant.

Survivors include his wife: Rebecca Herzog-Genske, Manitowoc; a son: Jacob Genske and his fiancé Brianna Engeldinger, Manitowoc; his mother: Patricia Genske, Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Pamela & Randy Gehl and their daughter: Samantha, Hilbert, Jackie & Troy Mitchell and their children: Patrick & Gage, Sidney, Illinois; his mother-in-law: Phyllis (Robert) Elfner, Manitowoc; and four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mike & Amy Herzog and their children: Kevin and Allison, Manitowoc, Patti & Charles Komorosky & their daughter: Kayla, Manitowoc, Todd & Karen Herzog & their children: Jessica & Melissa, Swansea, Illinois, and Steve & Mary Herzog & their son: Kyle, Manitowoc. Many other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: Gerald Genske; his father-in-law: Richard Herzog; aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be the Rev. Robert Kujawski with burial of the cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 until 11:00 a.m.

A memorial fund will be established in Jeff's name and will be donated at a later time to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
