Claude Allen "Bake" Baker, age 84, Logansport, passed away at 12:32 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in Memorial Hospital.

Born June 17, 1929, in Fulton County, he was the son of Harvey Lewis and Daisy Mae Lantz Baker.

On August 9, 1953, in Cass County, he was married to Helen Marie Jardoun, who survives.

"Bake" was retired from Small Parts. He had also been employed at Switches, Inc.

He was a United States Army veteran was a member of the American Legion Post 60.

"Bake" was also a member of All Saints Catholic Church, where he had served as a Eucharistic Minister and usher. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Logansport Eagles, where he was Past Worthy President.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Robert J. (Diane) Baker, Walton, Mary E. Baker, Logansport, David Allen (Hollianne) Baker, Mobile, Ala., Stephen Michael (Gina) Baker, Star City and Richard Louis Baker, Logansport.

Also surviving are a sister, Mabel Wolfe, Logansport, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and a cousin, Tom Baker, Logansport.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael McKinney officiating.

Interment with full military honors will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
