Margaret Lindsey, 78, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Dr. Joe Thornton officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.

She was born on January 8, 1935 to Robert and Goldie Patterson Davy. She grew up in the Lesters Grove community and was active in the Lesters Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked for many years at South Central Bell and the Jackson Pediatric Clinic. Later, she became a realtor and along with her husband, built many homes in the Jackson area. Many of her clients from this time became life long friends. She was a member of Northside United Methodist Church and the Pacers Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Cooper, Onita Harris, Bobbie Blackmon, and Carrie Bennett and her brother, Richard Davy.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bobby L. Lindsey; sons, Bobby Lindsey, Jr. and Scott (Melanee) Lindsey; her special grandson, Brandon, and her sister, Martha Davis.

Pallbearers are Brandon Lindsey, Rodney Bryant, Paul Moody, Bo Deaton, Dr. Kippy Miller and Dr. Don LaFont. Honorary pallbearers include J.D. Carden, Burris Nichols, Billy Spain, Ed Allen, Robert Rushing and Dr. Bobby Higgs.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. until service time in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Phillip Coy, Dr. Jere Hammond, and nurse Michelle LeFevree of Tennessee Quality Hospice and nurse Shirley Robinson of CareAll.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
