Nona Eileen Berndt, 69, of Gravette, AR died Sunday, Sept 30, 2001 at Gravette Medical Center in Gravette, AR. She was born July 13, 1932 in Adair, Iowa to Ray Ellis & Gladys Eileen (Morgan) Capehart. She moved to the Centerton and Hiwasse area in 1975 from Kansas. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, AR. She was very active with the Lutheran Braille works. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Glenda Sue Berndt. She is survived by her husband, two sons, one daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and two granddaughters. The funeral service was Wednesday, Oct 3, at 2 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR with Pastor Jones officiating. Visitation was Oct. 3 from noon until the time of the service. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
