Rites For Mrs. Selma Paulsen November 2

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 4 for Mrs. Selma N. Paulsen, well known Bennington farm woman. Mrs. Paulsen had died at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha on November 2 following a lingering illness.

She was born at Irvington, Nebraska, December 10, 1890 and would have been 80 years old next month. She grew to womanhood in the Irvington area and was married to Fred N. Paulsen September 29, 1909.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, her parents and two brothers, Hans Larsen and Alfred Rasmussen and by a sister, Mary Bertschinger.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Herbert Splittgerber (Frances); Mrs. Arthur Schneekloth (Fern); Mrs. Elmer Holstein (Anita) and Mrs. Wesley Brown (Sylvia). There are 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Kountze Memorial Church in Omaha and burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Archie Graybill, Lyle Nelson, Darrell Schneekloth, Curtis Holstein, James Brown and Ronald Brown.
