Rosary for Matthias A. Koenigs, 69, a retired machinist's assistant, will be said at 7:30 o'clock tomorrow night in the John Kalin chapel. Requiem Mass will be said at 9:15 o'clock Thursday forenoon in St. Edward's Church. Burial will be in Calvary.
Mr. Koenigs died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles W. Farwell, 3315 Wetmore Av., with whom he lived. He had been a machinist for the Great Northern Railway and worked in a Seattle shipyard before his retirement at the close of the Second World War. He had lived in Seattle since 1929.
Mr. Koenigs was a former Spokane police officer. He first moved to Spokane 40 years ago. He was born in Mount Calvary, Wis. His wife, Rose Marie, died two years ago.
Surviving besides Mrs. Farwell are two sons, Claude M. and Francis W. Koenigs, both of Seattle; four brothers, Joseph P. Koenigs, Seattle; A.J. Koenigs, Buckley; Louis Koenigs, Spokane, and Anthony Koenigs, Oceanside, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Marie De Tullio, Seattle; Mrs. Abby Anderson, White Salmon, Klickitat County; Mrs. Millie Gross, Scappoose, Ore. and Mrs. Helen Williams, Weiser, Idaho, and five grandchildren.
