FORT RIPLEY -- Daniel B. Neeser, 70, Fort Ripley, passed away Monday, June 27, 2005, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. He was born on Dec. 15, 1934, in Merrifield to Theodore and Mary (Prom) Neeser.
He married Viola Pella at St. Rita's Church in Hillman on Oct. 21, 1963. He had served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of the town board for 20 years and was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Viola, of Fort Ripley; his son, Ron, of Cottage Grove, Minn.; his daughters, Vicki Maleski, of Freedhem, and Sharon Offenhauser, of Cottage Grove, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; and sister, Sister Marcelline.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, at the St. Mathias Catholic Church in St. Mathias with Father Kristoffer McKusky officiating. Interment will be at the St. Mathias Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Arrangements are with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
