William's father (William 1844 to 1900) was a Sergeant of Police for the Saint Louis Police Department, and his one brother (James 1873 to 1920) was a Detective Sergeant who was "Killed in the Line of Duty," his other brother (John 1879 to 1950) retired from the same agency as a Lieutenant of Police, and lastly another brother (Thomas 1882 to 1939) was a Deputy Sheriff for the City of Saint Louis. It should be noted that William's younger son, also named William, served as a member of the Chicago Police Department.
It should also be noted that his great-grandnephew Jack Folluo retired as a Sergeant from the Saint Louis Police Department completing 3 generations of one family with a unwavering dedication to "Serve & Protect."
William died in Saint Louis, at his childhood home, at 3733 Humphrey Ave. He died in very same home as did his father. Both died of a heart attack.
William was predeceased his wife Anna King.
