Amos Zenor, 71, for Twenty Years Resident of This County, Dead— Well Known Over County

Amos Zenor, of Wayside, died at 10 o'clock last night after a lingering illness at the age of 71 years. Deceased has resided in this county more than 20 years, except 3 years spent in Ford county, and was one of Montgomery's well known and highly respected citizens. He was a carpenter by profession but since coming to Kansas, engaged in farming and stock raising. Besides an aged widow, he leaves eleven living children, two boys, Phillip Zenor, Benj. G. Zenor, and nine girls, Mrs. C. P. Stonecypher, Mrs. Nannie Nickum, Mrs. Laura Yochern of Indiana, Mrs. Sallie Payne, Mrs. Kate Pittman, Clark Co. Kan., Mrs. Hester Wakeman, Mrs. Edith Horsman, Mrs. Grace Crosson and Mrs. May Bloom Zenor. Mr. Zenor was the grandfather of 17 grandchildren. Deceased had been a consistent Christian all his life and a member of the Baptist church for the last 26 years. Funeral services will be held in the church at Wayside tomorrow afternoon after which the remains will he laid to rest in Harrisonville cemetery 4 miles northeast of Wayside.
