Mrs. Nickolaisen was my 6th Grade English Teacher. As I remember, she was a tough person to please and very strict in the classroom. On my report cards, she would always give me low grades, but would add comments like, "He can do better if he would just apply himself to his work". She would NEVER let up on me. At the time I hated her for it. If she could just see me now. She had a son, Randy that I went to school with, We never hung in the same circle, but he was an OK guy.
She's not family, but an educator, like my father, who should be remembered for more than just being another stone in a cemetery.
