Gene A. Knauer, age 92, of Plymouth, passed away early Tuesday morning (July 23) at his home.
He was born February 1, 1921 in Manitowoc, WI, son of the late Edgar and Amanda (Koch) Knauer.
He attended Manitowoc Grade School and graduated from Manitowoc High School in 1939.
He worked for his father, E.P. Knauer (Heating and Steamfitter) for 20 years.
He managed Vi's Valley Inn for over 50 years which became Rosie's Valley Inn and for the past 6 years was mentor to Rosie.
Gene is survived by Dennis and Rosie May and all his longtime Valley Inn friends.
Following Gene's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral services.
