James M. O'Neil was the son of Martha (Beggs) And James O'Neil, Sr. He was born in Barton, Maryland and died of a sudden heart attack, after an illness of two months, while living with his brother and family in Roundup, Montana.
James had a step daughter Georgie Ramey, who notified Mrs. Martha O'Neil Chappell of her brother's death in a letter dated Friday, November 1, 1946.
At the time of James' death, his brother John was gravely ill and passed away in November 1946, about a month later.
James M. O'Neil died October 7, 1946 in Roundup, Montana.
James Sr. O'Neil and Martha Beggs had another son that was first named James O'Neil, and that James is buried with his Father in Laurel Hill, Moscow, Allegany County, Maryland.
