From the Milton Historical Society - "Charles Featherstone was born near Drumquin, Ont. in 1873, the son of Emerson Featherstone and Mary Bell. He married Ethel F. A. Kindree and they had one son and four daughters. His second marriage was to Ada Mountain; there were no children from that marriage. He moved with his parents to a farm on Highway 25 near Milton in 1885 and he farmed there until he died. He was a member of St. Clair Masonic Lodge and also belonged to St. Paul's United Church. He died in 1968 survived by his children Maude (Mrs. Nelson Lawrence), Freida (Mrs. John Hunter), Leona (Mrs. Walter Fidler), Jane B. (Mrs. Ken Gunby) and his son Sheldon. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery."
