Louise Conner Griffin, 73, died Thursday, August 29, 2013. She was born June 22, 1940, in Bryson, Texas to James Floyd and Ada Lee Funk Conner.

She lived in the Hugo, Oklahoma area most of her life and was a member of the Grant Baptist Church.

Louise married Ed Bates May 5, 1956 in Hugo. She worked for Ed as a secretary for many years and helped him with the bus ministry for Grant Baptist Church. After his death, she married Bill Griffin in September of 2001.

Louise also worked for the Choctaw Ambulance Authority as a medical billing and coding secretary. She was a secretary for Jones Heat and Air and the Grant Baptist Church. She taught children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Her hobbies were genealogy and listening to country music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Ed Bates, and second husband Bill Griffin; four brothers; five sisters; and two great-grandchildren.

Louise was survived by one son, two daughters, four grandsons, one granddaughter, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters and brothers-in-law.

Graveside services were held Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. in the Springs Chapel cemetery in Hugo with Brent Shain officiating.
