OTTUMWA -- Doris M. Aeschliman, 83, of 441 N. Quincy died at 12:59 a.m. May 14, 1998, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born Nov. 25, 1914, east of Queen City, Mo., to Harvey Clyde and Ava Allen Coons McElhinney. She married Harold E. Aeschliman on June 7, 1936, in Booneville, Mo.
She had taught in country schools in Missouri, and had been a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Mo., where she recieved a lifetime service award. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Sandra Longdo of Ottumwa; two sons, Don Aeschliman of Amana and David Aeschlliman of Green Castle, Mo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and a brother, Harvey McElhinney of Kirksville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer McElhinney; and three sisters, Dorothy Reynolds, Wilma Starks, and Letha McElhinney.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Ottumwa, the Rev. Derrick Haskins officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Bhurch for the needy.
