Gus Otto Vivian was born in Carrizo Springs on January 11, 1895. he was one of seven children born to Lloyd Edward and Mollie English Vivian of Dimmit County.
Gus married Amy Caroline Coffman and they had three chldren: Robert, Earl, and Bernard. Gus later married Ruth Warren Kilpatrick and they had one son, Lloyd.
Robert Vivian married Marjorie Coffman on September 22, 1941. They had one son, Larry Eugene, who is now married and has a son.
Earl Vivian married Kathleen Starr on August 20, 1944. They have two children, Linda Marie and Robert Charles.
Bernard Vivian has been married twice, first to Louise and second to Donna LaRue. Bernard and Louise had three girls: Vickie, Claudine Frances, and Jackie Margarette.
Lloyd Vivian and his wife Darlene, have one son and one daughter.
