She was born to an immigrant farm family, the last of eight children. Sister was an educator throughout her career. She taught at Our Lady of La Sallette, Berkley MI and Immaculate Conception in Traverse City among other Catholic schools. She visited the sick throughout her life's work including when she 'retired' to the Motherhouse in Farmington Hills, MI.
