Sgt. U.S. Army, World War One-Sgt. Cullom survived the great carnage of the Great War only to die at Verdun, France of Pneumonia on 12-7-1918. Sgt. Cullom was with Co. G of the 108th Ammunition Train Co. of the 38th Infantry Division.
He is the son of Mrs. Ella H. Cullom of Peoria, Illinois, and the husband of a Mrs. Cullom of Peoria, and the brother to Mrs. M.S. Marcy of 114 East Arcadia in Peoria. He also leaves one other brother in Europe, Pvt. Elbert R. Cullom with the Army's 398th Field Signal Battalion in France.
He did his training at Camp Logan, Houston, Texas.
Awards: WWI Victory Medal, Occupation Medal.
