Clara Kaufmann Voelker, age 92, of 416 Park Lane, Mishicot, passed away Monday, October 28, 1996, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital, after a brief illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 1996, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will officiate with burial in the Holy Cross Church Cemetery.
She was born December 7, 1903, at Mishicot, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kriwanek Skwor. She graduated from Holy Cross School in 1918 and from Mishicot High School in 1922. She married Raymond C. Kaufmann in 1924. He preceded her in death in 1973. She later married Chester F. Voelker on December 17, 1975. He also preceded her in death on May 9, 1986. Mrs. Voelker was a member of Holy Cross Church, and the Holy Cross Altar Society, and was also a member of the Kempen-Staudinger VFW Auxiliary. She belonged to the Senior Citizens and the Catholic Knights Insurance Society, and was recently honored for being a fifty year member. She loved gardening and weaving, and enjoyed cooking and football.
Survivors include two sons, Roger C. Kaufman, LaCrosse, Wis., Richard M. Kaufman, Argonne, Wis.; three daughters and one son-in-law, Phyllis Mott, Mishicot, Eileen Wolodkiewicz, Dayton, Ohio, Karen and Wayne Anthony, Mishicot; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Kaufmann, Two Rivers; one step-son, Robert and Betty Voelker; one step-daughter, Joan and Ronald Meissner, Mishicot; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; neices, nephews, and many friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Karl Kaufmann; two brothers, Charles E. Skwor and Hugo S. Skwor; one sister, Eva A. Te Poorten.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday (TONIGHT) and on Thursday morning before leaving for the funeral mass. There will be a parish Wake Service tonight at 7 p.m. at the funeral Home, followed by the Altar Society Rosary.
