HARKER HEIGHTS ? Services for Charles L. ?Bub? Adams, 83, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Killeen with the Rev. John Aymond officiating.

Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.

Adams died on Aug. 24, 2005, in Killeen.

He was born on March 17, 1922, in Copperas Cove to the late Raymond and Amy Ruby Adams.

Adams was a retired salesman from Trinity Ready Mix.

Adams served in World War II in the Asian Pacific Theater.

He was a member of AARP. He was a past member of the Elks Club and VFW in Lampasas.

Adams spent his life in the community.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Killeen.

Adams? awards and decorations included the World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, Campaign Medal with four bronze stars and Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Adams of Harker Heights; a son, Glen Robert Adams of Portland; two daughters, Mary Jane Ramsey of Hong Kong and Charlene Hunt of Texas; two brothers, Gordon Adams of Killeen and James Adams of Harker Heights; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, R.C. Adams Jr.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
