Victoria M. 'Vicky' Kellner, age 83, a longtime resident of Two Rivers, entered eternal life on Tuesday afternoon, September 13, 2011, at her residence.
Vicky was born May 29, 1928 in Mishicot, a daughter of the late Hugo and Florence (Nachtwey) Skwor. She grew up in Mishicot, graduating from Holy Cross Catholic Grade School (1943) and from Mishicot High School (1947). She enjoyed playing her flute in the band and played in several solo competition events. After graduating, Vicky worked at the Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co. Plant 4. On July 10, 1948, she married John Lloyd 'Jack' Kellner at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. The ceremony was officiated by Jack's cousin, Fr. Henry Scholten. Jack preceded her in death on September 3, 2011. Vicky also worked at Evan's Department Store for 18 years. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman CCW, and prayer line at the church. Vicky was also a member of the Manitowoc & Brown County Historical Societies. She enjoyed scrapbooking, post card and stamp collecting, cross stitching, making felt ornaments, doing genealogy for both sides of the family and traveling with Jack.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; three sons and daughters-in-law; 13 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; a brother and a sister-in-law; a very dear friend; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Paul (Laverne) Skwor; and a brother-in-law: John Vawter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian burial will be the Rev. Dick Mauthe with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Friday after 12:30 p.m. until the time of mass at 1:30 p.m. There will be no visitation this evening.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter the Fisherman Parish.
