Lillian's father was Francis Allen Ellis (1876-1950)]] and her mother was Kathryn Belle (Giddings) Ellis (1876-1969)]]. Lillian was the youngest daughter of 4 girls and1 son. Lillian was very close with her siblings and family. She was the only one of the siblings to have blonde hair, so her Dad (Francis) nick named her "Pinky" as all the childred had dark hair..

They grew up in the Royal Oak area of Michigan living quit well, even during the depression, her Mother made due and had all the children always dressed and fed. They all had a good education and graduated from "High School".
Lillians sisters, Ethel, Marion and Virginia married in there twentys and started their families. Lillian was no exception, she was about 22 when she married Gerald R. Blackburn. Her brother Edward Dale Ellis, went into the service and became a Marine and ended up in the WW II.

After Lillian married she and Gerald moved alot due to his job promotions, waiting for 5 years before their 1 daughter was born in 1940(Anne Louise) and then almost another 5 years until Janice was born in 1945.

Lillian lived in Grand Rapids, moved to Pennsylvania, Charlotte,N.C., Minneapolis, and then Chicago suburbs. Retiring in Clearwater, Florida and enjoyed their retirement there!

Lillian was a lover of all, she was well loved in her communities and church. She was so talented, artist, seamstress, fabulous cook! Loved all her animals, lots of dogs passed our doors. Lillian was pretty athletic too for that era, she golfed and bowled, and was pretty good at it too.

She volunteered whenever possible. Volunteered at church, school and was a Girl Scout leader. Lillian loved to travel as well.

An all around great women, wife and mother, and friend to all!
