Age 87, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2013. Anna was the daughter of the late, G. Parker Crossland and Eliza (Cleaver) Crossland. Anna was a proud graduate of Middletown High School and continued attending her high school reunions, including her 68th reunion in 2012. Growing up on a farm, Anna showed a great love of animals, continuing to rescue and foster animals throughout her life. Anna attended the University of Delaware and started her career at Stine Labs for the DuPont Company and later owned and operated a Tastee Freeze in Bridgeville, DE with her husband. Anna was a Delaware History buff and authored several booklets on the subject. She was particularly interested in the history of the St. George's area. Anna was a prolific letter writer and journal writer, as well as a talented pin and ink artist. She was also a beautiful seamstress and was proud of the knitted blankets she donated to those in need.

Above all else, Anna was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. We will always remember her saying, "Say HI to those you know that I know," when we parted. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, and her beloved husband, Paul. She is survived by her daughter, Georgiana Fennemore; her granddaughter, Melissa Huffman and her husband Scott; her grandson, Matthew Fennemore and his wife Kimberly and two beloved great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held at the Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE on Saturday, September 14 at 11am with visitation from 10-11am. Interment will be in the St. Georges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware or the Delaware AG Museum in Dover.
