JOSEPH HENRY WALSH - 47, a lifelong New Canaan, CT resident, died suddenly in his home on Tuesday, December 26, 2006. He was born Feb. 13, 1959 in Stamford, CT. Joe is survived by his loving father, Henry F. Walsh. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Helen Mueller Walsh, his sister, Mary Elizabeth Whalen; his brother-in-law, Joseph A. Fico, and his nephew, Mark H. Whalen. He is also survived by three brothers: Michael F. and his wife, Lisa, of Stamford; Charles P. and his wife, Cindy, of Norwalk; and Martin S. and his wife, Daryl, of Ridgefield. Joe is also survived by four sisters, Berta M. Pinzino her husband, James of Marlboro, MA; Teresa M. Walsh of New Canaan, Katherine M. Fico of Stamford, and his twin sister, Mena M. Raymond and her husband, Dewey, of Norwalk.

Mr. Walsh is the beloved uncle of 33, Mickey Walsh, and his wife, Molly, of Rowayton; Ali, Erin, Sean and Ryan Walsh of Stamford; Maureen McCann, and her husband Michael, of Cranston, RI; Jamie Pinzino, and his wife Cheryl; Chris Pinzino, and his wife Elizabeth; Kate, Sarah and Elizabeth Pinzino of Marlboro, MA; Kelley Trimboli and her husband TJ; Brian, Kristin, and Keelin Walsh of Norwalk; Andrew J. Walsh of New Canaan; Michael Fico and his wife Karen, of Stamford; Becky Venable and her husband Art, of Oxford; Bridget, Joe, Tommy, Kevin, Katie, and Timmy Fico of Stamford; Matthew, Brendan, and Shannon Walsh, of Ridgefield; Dewey, Daniel, Peter, Meghan and Emily Raymond of Norwalk. He is also survived by twelve great-nieces and nephews.

Joe was an avid music-lover and an accomplished song-writer and composer. He recently released a new CD entitled A Time Gone By in October of this year. He was passionately involved with the music program at Arts For Healing in New Canaan, CT under the direction of Karen Nissenson. Joe also had a love of reading and has written numerous poems expressing his love of family and God. Joe was a devout Catholic who recited the rosary daily. He frequently attended Nocturnal Adoration at various churches throughout the area.

He will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.

Funeral arrangements are under the directions of the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford. Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of the Holy Spirit in Stamford. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund in his memory in care of Karen Nissenson of Arts for Healing, 24 Grove Street, New Canaan, CT 06840.
